The work speaks through these voices

Hi Kashi,
I had a wonderful class this morning. Thank you for your teaching.
So often in yoga classes I am coaxed into a place of release momentarily and
then moved off to some other stand. I feel lost and don't know how to get
back to what I just experienced. With Tri-Yoga I experience release more
frequently and feel more of a sense of knowing where I am and how to return.
I don't have a home practice yet, but at least I can see how that might
happen.

I was training for my first marathon and decided that yoga would be a very good thing during the training process. Some very good friends of mine sang the praises of Kashi and recommended I contact her. She was a great asset to me during that process and is definitely one of the factors that kept my body and mind in the right place during the training and the actual run. I am certain that it helped me heal in days instead of weeks or more. I continued the yoga with Kashi afterward and always looked forward to her calm professional manner and the complete workout we did. Flexibility has always been an issue for me and this process helped me tremendously in that area. Kashi is a pro and a pleasure to be around.

Kashi's teaching of Tri Yoga is like a beautiful meandering river.
It beckons you to enter it with a soft, melodious murmur.
Once you follow its invitation, the purity of its water will gently
wash away all physical and emotional strain in your body and soul.
The slow and steady flow and the gentleness of its embankment
will inspire your trust to immerse yourself deeper and deeper into it.
Then, when you are ready, you may look down to the river bed
to behold the reflection of your innermost being - and rejoice!

To all who are interested in changing their lives for the better:
I met Kashi about 2 1/2 years ago after a game of golf with a cigar in one hand and a double martini on the rocks in my other, only to find Kashi doing yoga with my wife and her sister. My wife suggested rather emphatically that I should probably put down my weapons and try the relaxing, non-injurious style of yoga that Kashi was showing her.
I guess I was ready because I started doing yoga with Kashi three times a week, and as an obsessive-compulsive executive, I felt that if three times a week was good, then certainly every day would be better. So, I started doing yoga early every morning. Within a short period of time, maybe a month or two, Kashi mentioned that my breath would improve and that the whole process would speed up if I stopped smoking. She said it in such a gentle, non-threatening way that I decided to try it, and to my amazement, with no patches or aids of any kind, I stopped smoking for the first time in years.
Two months later, I was making great progress but found that something was getting in my way. I realized that it was my stomach and that I might just have to lose some weight if I wanted to do the wondrous poses that Kashi showed me from time to time, so I stopped the alcohol and went on a healthier, "loosely vegetarian" diet. The results were amazing. My waist was down two inches, my general health was better, my mood was elevated, and I was stretching into positions that I would have thought impossible for a man of 68 - they were more like something that a 21-year-old would try.
Therefore, for anyone wanting to change their life mentally and physically, free of pain, with a happier outlook, give a full six months' try several times a week to Yoga With Kashi, and I'm sure the results will be as remarkable as they were for me - and you might find, as I did, that I made a new, close friend.
Thank you, my dear Kashi. Godspeed in your new adventure in Northern California.
Regards,
Howard F. Ruby, Chairman Oakwood Worldwide

"In a yoga session with Kashi, one leaves the world of busyness and enters a deeper, calmer place, where the original unity of body and mind is experienced directly. Kashi brings to her teaching a rare combination of sensitivity to each student, mastery of the postures, and unspoken spiritual insight."

Professor of Religious Studies, Lehigh University
and author of The Wheel of Engaged Buddhism

Kashi's personal dedication to yoga makes her a loving and effective

I have studied yoga with Kashi since 1994. She creates an unbelievably peaceful environment, yet it is always physically challenging. She demonstrates beautifully and is generous with her time. Each movement is analyzed as it flows into the next one, so that one focuses on the entire flow. No movement is too simple. I'm sure this corresponds to life in that the process is just as important as the endpoint. It forces me to slow down - a challenge for me! I just keep wanting more so that I can go to my next level of personal growth. This is all from Kashi's example and inspiration.

I find Kashi's class both stimulating and challenging. She creates a peaceful and meditative space for the students, a true sanctuary.

I remember how wonderful it was to be in your first class for pregnant ladies! After searching for 10 years I finally found a Yoga teacher whose method I liked and trusted. This was in 1993-94--The snow or ice could not keep me away! Over the past seven years and two "geriatric" pregnancies later I have enjoyed every moment of the flow. The development of Tri Yoga and your growth as a yoga teacher has helped me to grow in the physical and spiritual planes and I plan to continue in my 5th decade. The best part is, that even though I will miss you very much we are blessed that you have taught others and that they will continue with the work. I will look forward to your visits and special yoga intensives.
