A lifetime of yoga Devotion and dedication
I have been studying yoga since
I was a young child, doing postures intuitively, before
any formal training. My first yoga teacher, who was also
my ballet teacher, came at the age of 11 years. I was first
trained in classical ballet and later discovered modern
dance. I performed and choreographed professionally in
Philadelphia and New York City. My search for spirit was
evident in the pieces that I created and performed in,
always trying to find the sacred in the everyday. I received
degrees in dance from the University of the Arts and Temple
University. While preparing for a show in New York City
a friend suggested that I try a yoga class to "get
in shape". From that first class at Jivamukti in 1990,
I knew that I had "come home" and became committed
to a yoga practice. Of course, it wasn't long before I
wanted to share how wonderful I was feeling with others,
so I enrolled in a teacher training course. Soon after
that I became certified in Sivananda Yoga and lived and
studied at the Yoga Ranch Ashram in upstate NY for several
months. Upon leaving the yoga ranch, I met world renowned
master of yoga, Kali Ray, and recognized Her to be my true
teacher. The joy and love that emanated from this great
teacher captivated me and I knew I had much to learn from
Her."
Kashi has been teaching yoga for over 15 years and is certified
in four levels of TriYoga. The devotion and dedication
that she brings to her students, reflect her many years
of study with yoga master, Kali Ray.
Kashi's experience includes developing TriYoga programs in
yoga studios, health centers, at conferences, corporations
and schools, yoga for kids, pre and post natal yoga, as well
as trained many teachers nationally. Students from all stages
of life, including well-known celebrities and prominent business
people have enjoyed and benefited from Kashi's unique style
of teaching. She creates a safe environment for the students
to enter deeply into the inner flow. She lives in N. California
with her husband and their two children.

"I feel so fortunate to have been introduced to Tri Yoga
from Kashi--a teacher who so beautifully embodies the
strength and grace of this yoga system. Kashi is an inspirational
role model in the way she moves, her approach to her students,
and in her teaching style. Through Kashi's astute observations
and suggestions, I've found a greater ease and freedom
of movement in my body. She's an excellent teacher and
she creates an atmosphere in class which fosters an increased
self-awareness, and real physical and spiritual growth.
I hold her in the highest regard as both a teacher and
a yogi."
